◎	Risks of Internet Banking
	While Internet Banking can bring you more convenience in terms of faster and easier access to your bank account(s), there are inherent risks that you need to be aware of. Due to the open nature of the Internet, web-based systems such as Internet Banking are inherently subject to risks such as those related to virus attacks, hacking, unauthorized access and fraudulent transactions.
	While FCB has put in place the necessary security practices and measures to safeguard against these risks, in order to ensure the safety of Internet Banking transactions, you, as the end-user, also need to take necessary procedures to safeguard your account information.
◎	Security Tips
	To ensure your online banking sessions are secure, FCB recommends that you follow these simple security tips.
	Protecting Your Password
	‧	Do not choose a Password that is easily guessed, like your telephone number, NRIC number, date of birth, User ID, or other associated data.
	‧	Never use the same Password for other financial or non-financial services.
	‧	Avoid storing Customer ID, User ID and Password.
	‧	Avoid using sequential numbers or the same number more than twice.
	‧	Do not reveal your Password to anyone.
	‧	Do not share your Password with others.
	‧	Memorize your Password. Do not write down your Password or store it in computer hard-disk, diskette, mobile phone or other insecure means.
	‧	Do not use your Password when someone else can see you keying it in.
	‧	Change your Password regularly by using the "Change Password" service.
	‧	Change your Password immediately if you suspect it has been exposed to others or the moment you suspect any unauthorized access.
	‧	Check your account and transaction history details regularly.
	‧	Always access the FCB website address http://www.firstbank.com.tw .
	‧	Under no circumstances will FCB ever send you an email asking for your personal information. You should NOT respond to such email or reveal your Password to anyone.
	‧	Do not use shared/public PCs for Internet Banking.
	Protecting Your Computer
	‧	Protect your PC from viruses and malicious programs.
	‧	Install a personal firewall and the latest anti virus software.
	‧	Do not open email attachments from strangers or install software or run programs of an unknown origin.
	‧	Delete junk or chain emails.
◎	FCB Security
	Protecting our customers and providing a secure online banking experience is top priority at FCB.
	Firewalls
		FCB has multiple levels of firewalls in place between our internal computer systems and the internet.
	Encryption for Data Transmission
		All data sent to and from FCB is 「scrambled」 and 「reassembled」 between FCB and your personal computer using the highest level of encryption commercially available.
	Secured login using Customer ID, User ID and Password
		Only customers using their Customer ID, User ID and Password, will be able to access the accounts. A customer's Password must be entered every time he/she logs into FCB Internet Banking. Under no circumstances will FCB store a customer's Password locally on his/her computer.
	Automatic Time Out
		When there is no activity over FCB's limitation of response time, FCB will terminate customer's secured FCB Internet Banking session to help protect against unauthorized access.
	Strict Protection of Customer Information
		FCB has strict standards of security and confidentiality to safeguard the confidentiality of customer’s information. Regular audits are conducted internally to uphold these standards.
	Adherence to Regulatory Standards
		FCB abide by all information security and Internet Banking regulations set by the authorities both here in Macau and in Taiwan, with regular audits conducted to ensure compliance.
